Högland is a family business in Örnsköldsvik that specializes in forestry and timber. They produce, in a cost-effective way, sawn and further-processed wooden products of high quality. Their knowledge of wood and its special properties, combined with competitive investments and high-quality raw materials, have made them an attractive player on the market.
Tomas Svensson has worked as maintenance manager at Högland Såg & Hyvleri since 2001 and has seen the company’s fantastic growth over the years. From 30,000 m³, they today achieve an annual production volume of almost 300,000 m³ of wooden products.
In 2008, Högland Såg & Hyvleri AB began to label its wooden products and as production increased, hand stamping was no longer an option. When, 4-5 years ago, they came into contact with Logimark, the possibilities opened up for the different types of labeling Logimark could offer as a supplier.
“There was no major need for labeling at the time, but we wanted to try something new. Logimark is out a lot in our areas and is close at hand when service is needed”. Tomas explains.
Today they have invested in the inkjet printer Integra PP108. The inkjet printer has a print height of 108 mm and achieves a remarkable speed of up to 600 meters per minute – an application for fast production lines. The system is level-independent, which means that the ink tank can be installed above, below or at the same height as the print head without problems. What also makes the inkjet printer suitable for the wood industry is the unique impact resistance, which is particularly suitable for those productions that experience vibrations.
