Plastic sheets, plastic film & sheet material

Inkjet marking (CIJ – Continuous Inkjet) is one of the most widely used technologies for moving plastic sheets and films, thanks to its non-contact, fast and flexible nature. It is particularly well suited to processes where the material is in continuous motion – e.g. rolled plastic film or sheets transported on belts.

Advantages:

• Marks directly on most plastic surfaces: smooth, matte, shiny, anti-static

• Handles high speeds and varying formats without affecting flow

• Written in real time – perfect for batch numbers, date codes, barcodes or logos

• Requires no direct contact – reduces wear and works on sensitive surfaces

• Available with custom ink types for different types of plastic (e.g. PE, PP, PET)

Laser marking is an excellent choice when you need permanent marking directly onto plastic materials – especially on sheet materials or rigid plastic sheets. It is a non-contact and durable solution that provides precision and long-lasting durability, without the need for ink or labels.

Advantages:

• Extreme durable marking – withstands handling, UV light, temperature and chemicals

• No consumables – low operating costs and minimal maintenance

• High precision – capable small characters, QR codes, serial numbers and symbols

• Capable of marking both light and dark plastic materials, depending on laser type (CO₂, fiber)

Labelling is particularly useful when you want to combine visual design, customer-specific information and technical data – or when the material is not suitable for direct marking, e.g. due to protective film, shiny surfaces or transparent plastic types.

Advantages:

• Can be placed where direct marking is not possible – e.g. on protective film or outside of stacked sheets

• Can be printed with graphic elements, logos, warning symbols and customized information

• Labels can suppressed or marked in real time with batch information via TTO or CIJ

• Works well for both individual sheets and roll packaging of plastic film
