Linx launches ink with superior adhesion to plastic

Linx has launched a new ink in the CIJ series that takes plastic marking to a new level. 1061 Ink is developed to provide strong adhesion to both flexible and rigid plastic materials – without the need for pre-treatment such as plasma. This makes the ink particularly interesting for modern packaging in, for example, mono-recyclable material, OPP, BOPP, HDPE and LDPE.

But it's not just the fastening ability that impresses. 1061 passes tough quality controls, including QA tests with tape – perfect for productions where the marking must withstand transport and handling. The ink also works excellently on oily surfaces and frozen food packaging before freezing.

Customer case: traceability of plastic bags for pet food

A leading European pet food company needed a label that could withstand the transition to new, more environmentally friendly plastic packaging – including mono-OPP, PE and PET. They were having trouble with previous inks failing their internal QA tests with high-adhesive tape.

After a successful test of 1061 Ink at one of their facilities, they decided to roll out the solution to three additional production sites.
