We at Fitnessparadiset decided to launch our own dietary supplement brand and chose Logimark AB to manufacture our labels. We had the honor of working with Nathalie who is quick with feedback, clear about the result, careful with the texts but above all very nice and helpful throughout the process. The labels we chose were "Paper rustic with digital gold foiling" and we were much happier than we thought we would be. The result was stylish products with an exclusive feel. The prices were reasonable and worth it!

Reasons why we recommend Labels for jars

Make your can label stand out from the crowd

There are many options to make your jar label stand out. Examples of special effects include gold/silver foiling, silkscreen, embossing and hot foil.

  • Digital gold/silver/copper foiling: Digital foiling in metallic colors provides a raised visual and tactile effect on the label.
  • Hot foil: Gets a foiled effect from an immersion in the label.
  • Silkscreen: A varnish that is applied over the design, creating a raised visual and tactile effect on the label.
  • Embossing/Stamping: Embossing creates a raised or depressed structure on the material that allows for both visual and tactile distinction on the surface. This particular effect is most effective on paper materials, as embossing on synthetic materials can return to the original shape of the material.
  • Laminate and varnish: Provides an extra protective surface and can be applied to create both matte and glossy effects. If you know you will be printing something on the label, such as a date or batch, it is best to choose printable varnish.

Get a printed label with the right properties

It is not only the design that is important to consider, but also the stresses that the printed label may be exposed to. Heat, cold, sunlight, water and friction are some of the conditions that the label may be exposed to, and then it is extra important to have a durable label.

Things that are good to think about:

  • Sustainability: They should withstand moisture, cold storage and wear without shedding or fading.
  • Attachment: Labels with strong adhesive that stick to glass, plastic or metal.
  • Readability: Clear text and scannable barcodes, even on rounded surfaces.
  • Design possibilities: Possibility of transparent, matte or shiny materials for the right feel.

Wide selection of label materials for cans

There is a whole wealth of material! We can help you regardless of whether it should be made of paper or plastic and whether it should be colorful, smooth, rough, matte or glossy.

  • For paper labels, you can choose, for example, coated paper, rustic wine paper or metallic paper.
  • Plastic or synthetic labels are available in polypropylene, polyethylene, vinyl or polyester, the latter two of which are UV-resistant.
  • If you have packaging in the form of a tube or bottle where the label needs to be more flexible, it may be advantageous to choose polyethylene.
  • Inkjet is a material on the label, available in both plastic and paper, matte and glossy, that absorbs ink, making it optimal for labels to be printed on your own in a color printer.
  • Other materials worth mentioning are transparent and holographic.
  • If you are looking for a label made from recycled material, we have it in both paper and plastic.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about Labels for cans

There is a whole wealth of material!

Yes, it really does exist and for cans you can pretty much choose any material.

For paper labels, you can choose, for example, coated paper, rustic wine paper or metallic paper. If you want rustic wine paper, you should keep in mind that it can easily be destroyed if the jar is exposed to condensation. In that case, it is good to have a protective film inside the label to prevent moisture from entering.

Plastic or synthetic labels are available in polypropylene, polyethylene, vinyl or polyester, the latter two being UV-resistant. For example, for a can where the label needs to be more flexible, it may be advantageous to choose polyethylene.

Inkjet is a material on the label, available in both plastic and paper, matte and glossy, that absorbs ink, making it optimal for labels to be printed on your own in a color printer.

Other materials worth mentioning are transparent and holographic.

If you are looking for a label made from recycled material, we have it in both paper and plastic.

If you need labels for a glass jar, it may be common to want a label that is removable and/or an adhesive that is washable. For example, if you want the customer or seller to be able to reuse the jar.

Important! For cans that are to be returned, you need a sticker that is approved by Swedish return packaging.

Tip! Keep in mind that the label material has a lot to do with the feel and design of the jar. If you want the jar to feel a bit luxurious with high quality, rustic wine paper or a soft touch laminate are a good choice.

If you put the jar with the label on it in the fridge or freezer, there is nothing strange. The durability of most labels has an incredible range – From +80 degrees to -40.

If you want to put a label on a frozen jar, special freezer labels are required.

If the label is to be stored in a very humid environment, a plastic label is recommended for best durability.

Yes, you can. Then it is a plastic label and the base material can be either matte or glossy.

Yes, it is if the original label itself is the same. For example, what differentiates them is a batch number or best-before date. If you want completely different designs/sizes, you need to order a larger volume of each.

Yes, there is, both recycled plastic and recycled paper.

When ordering labels on rolls, it is most common for the labels to be on a backing paper to protect the labels during delivery and warehouse management. The backing paper is the paper that you peel the label off of and is made of silicone to make it easier to peel the label off. Once you have peeled off the labels, the backing paper is thrown away, which is bad for the environment.

It is now possible to order labels without carrier paper where the labels are just rolled up separately. There is then a varnish on top of the label material that acts as a kind of protection so that the adhesive does not stick to the labels in the roll. These are temporarily only available as direct thermal labels in paper.

We'd be happy to tell you more if it's interesting.

This of course depends on how wet the can is. We recommend that the product be as dry as possible for best results and shelf life. If the can is wet, air bubbles can easily form and the label can become wrinkled.

A cold product is lighter, but if the can is filled with cold liquid and left cold, condensation can easily form, making it more difficult for the label to stick. We therefore recommend that the can not contain any liquid when applying the label.

The minimum order value is 2000 SEK, the number of labels for this amount depends on material, size and adhesive, among other things.

To create a label, you need to specify the dimensions width x length and how it should be rolled up.

We have a variety of existing punches in different sizes. If the measurement is not found in an existing punch, we can create a new punch or use laser cutting.

A punch is a tool for cutting out labels.

We use digital printing or flexo printing, where in both printing methods you can design the label exactly how you want.

  • Digital printing: We use high-quality digital printing, which is advantageous because it is fast, you don't need clichés, which means that if you want to change the design, there won't be a lot of extra costs.
  • Flexo printing: Flexographic printing uses clichés, which are usually cheaper for larger volumes. You pay for clichés per color.

  • When you contact us, we need to know the size, material, adhesive, quantity and special effects for the intended label for the can. We will then prepare a quote.
  • Once you have approved the quote, we would like you to send us your label design in PDF format. We will send you an order acknowledgement and this design must also be approved based on delivery address, quantity and material.
  • We then produce a proof that must be approved to ensure that the information is correct.
  • We then start the printing process and the labels are rolled up onto reels as requested.

When ordering printed labels on a roll:

Winding and Bobbin/core: We can offer cores in 1 inch (25,4 mm), 2 inches (41 mm) and 3 inches (76,2 mm).

Flushing: It is important to remember that if the label is not to be applied by hand, the labels are rolled up correctly. Otherwise, there is a risk that the label will end up in the wrong direction in an automated process.

It is also important to know the maximum outer diameter of the label roll so that the roll is not too large and therefore does not fit in the printer. This information is usually available in the data sheet for your printer.
