No, it is not necessary to install BarTender Suite on your computer. BarTender Cloud is hosted and the user interacts with the interface through a web browser or the BarTender Mobile App. However, in order for BarTender Cloud to access your local printers, you will need to install BarTender Print Gateway on your local machine.

BarTender Cloud can print to PDF directly. To print to local printers, you need to install the BarTender Print Gateway, which supports most modern printers.
