Plastic granules

Labelling plastic granules is an important part of the traceability chain in the plastics industry. Since granules are often the first step in the production of plastic components, it is crucial that each bag, bin or container is correctly labeled with clear information about contents, origin, batch number and application.

Inkjet printing

Inkjet marking is a very flexible solution for marking plastic granulate packaging – whether it is PE/PP bags, big bags, or plastic containers. Because the technology is contactless, it can mark directly on the surface while the bag is moving on the belt – without you having to slow down the flow or adjust the position manually.

Typical applications:

  • Marking directly on 25 kg PE bags with article number and production date

  • Marking on big bags (FIBC) with batch number for internal traceability

  • Coding of plastic barrels with date marking or serial number

Labelling

Labelling is the best choice when you need to combine clear visual information, graphics, barcodes and text on each package. It is often used when the bags are to be passed on to the customer, or when inventory management and logistics require machine-readable and consistent information.

Labels can be applied manually or automatically and combined with a thermal transfer printer (TTO) or inkjet to add batch-specific information in real time.

Typical applications:

  • Labelling of bags with label + variable data directly in the filling line

  • Pallet labels with customer-specific information for identification in the logistics flow

  • Big bags marked with a label containing article number, weight, batch, customer name

Read more about Plastic Granules

Labelling plastic granules is an important part of the traceability chain in the plastics industry. Since granules are often the first step in the production of plastic components, it is crucial that each bag, bin or container is correctly labeled with clear information about contents, origin, batch number and application.

The information needs to be clear, durable and easy to read – even after transport, warehouse handling and possible repackaging. At the same time, the labelling must work in an environment where bags can be dusty, surfaces are uneven and where the flow is often fast.

The right labelling solution provides control, efficiency and security at every stage – and is a prerequisite for meeting both customer requirements, internal routines and applicable regulations. At Logimark, we ensure that you get a solution that not only works in theory – but every day, in your actual production.

Labelling on plastic granules is really about labelling the packaging – often sacks, big bags or plastic drums.

Challenges that our solutions solve:

  • Marking on dusty, difficult-to-mark or moving surfaces

  • Need for variable data per bag or batch

  • Marking that lasts during transport, lifting and storage

  • Fast, automated in-line labelling without stopping the flow

  • Traceability all the way – from raw material to final product

Would you like help customizing the labelling of your plastic granules? We are ready to develop a solution that will last in your production.

Questions & Answers (FAQ)

The packaging is labeled – that is, the sack, big bag or container in which the granules are located. This is where information such as the batch number, article number or barcode is placed.
Yes, that's great! With inkjet marking (CIJ), we can mark directly on the bag, even if it is dusty, bent or moving.
Labelling is perfect when you want clear marking with logo, article number, barcode and batch data. They are easy to read both visually and with a scanner.
Then it is important to have a solution that can handle variable data in real time. With thermal transfer or inkjet, each package can be marked with its unique information directly in the line.
Most people choose labelling in combination with TTO or direct labelling with ink – depending on how the product is packaged and what flow you have in the line.
Yes, we have solutions that handle both individual bags and pallet labelling, so you get a uniform flow for the entire batch.
