Speedy 480 Black Line is adapted for a full sheet of material, which makes it possible to feed the entire sheet directly into the laser without having to cut the material first. This saves time in preparation, reduces manual handling and makes it easier to use the material efficiently – a major advantage in sign and display production, for example.
Speedy 360 Black Line is adapted for ¾ sheets and offers a more compact machine format for operations that do not need to process full-size sheets of material.
For production where full sheets of material are used regularly, the Speedy 480 provides a smoother workflow: from material sheets directly to laser processing, without an additional cutting step.
With marking, engraving and cutting speeds of up to 4,3 m / s The Speedy Black Line is built for professional production. OptiFlow technology creates stable extraction conditions across the entire work surface, contributing to consistent processing results and a cleaner machine.
The Quick Change Table System also makes it easy to quickly switch between different materials and applications.
With Trotec laser software Ruby® The workflow from design and preparation to finished laser processing is managed in one environment. Jobs can be positioned and adjusted directly on the workpiece and preset material parameters simplify setup.
The system also offers integration and automation opportunities for businesses that want to connect laser production with other processes.
Speedy Black Line is available in two sizes: Speedy 360 Black Line with a working area of 936 × 624 mm and Speedy 480 Black Line with a larger work surface of 1248 × 624 mm. Both models can be configured with CO₂ or Flexx Technology™ to adapt to the materials and applications to be processed.
The material options depend on the laser configuration of the machine. The CO₂ laser is suitable for, among other things:
Flexx Technology™ combines CO₂ and fiber lasers, which expands the possibilities for marking, for example, metals and certain technical plastics.
Black Line is developed for manufacturing companies, educational institutions, research centers and professional service providers who need reliable laser workflows, scalable production processes and long-term productivity.
The main difference is the size of the work surface. The Speedy 360 Black Line has a work surface of 936 × 624 mm, while the Speedy 480 Black Line offers 1248 × 624 mmThe Speedy 480 is therefore particularly suitable when larger materials or more products need to be processed in the same job.
Developed as a complete production system rather than a stand-alone laser machine, Black Line combines hardware, software, service and connected workflows to help companies reduce manual labor, increase process reliability and achieve higher productivity.
The focus is not only on the material processing itself, but on optimizing the entire workflow – from job preparation to finished product.
Both the Speedy 360 and Speedy 480 Black Line reach speeds of up to 4,3 m / s, which makes the series well suited for production where short processing times and high capacity are important.
Speedy Black Line uses Ruby®, Trotec's laser production software. Here you can prepare, position and manage your laser jobs from design to production. The software also includes material parameters and functions for integration and automation.
OptiFlow is Speedy Black Line's technology for optimized airflow and extraction. The technology helps create stable processing conditions across the entire working area and contributes to consistent results when engraving and cutting.
Yes. Black Line is designed to be integrated into connected production environments through open interfaces, API functions and Node-RED integration. It enables data exchange between laser production and surrounding business and production systems, such as ERP, MES, order management and automation platforms.
This way, manual data management can be reduced while workflows become more efficient and coherent.

The Speedy Black Line series is designed for efficient and workflow-driven production – from design to finished product. The Black Line series includes the Speedy 360 Black Line and the Speedy 480 Black Line.
Professional laser production is about more than just the laser machine itself. With Speedy Black Line, the machine, Ruby® software, extraction system, materials, automation, service, support and training are combined into a complete system where all parts are designed to work together.
Both the Speedy 360 Black Line and Speedy 480 Black Line are built on the same Black Line platform and offer features such as Ruby®, OptiFlow, quick table change and Vision Design & Position.
The main difference between the models is workspace: Speedy 480 provides approximately 33% larger working area and is therefore better suited when larger material formats or more details are to be processed simultaneously. Speedy 360 Black Line is suitable for those who want to combine a generous working area with a more compact machine format.
Speedy Black Line is developed for professional laser cutting, laser engraving and laser marking and can be used in a variety of industries and production environments.
Common applications include:
Speedy Black Line is particularly well suited for professional sign manufacturing, where many varying jobs, short lead times and high demands on precision are part of everyday life. The machines combine fast laser processing with smart positioning, efficient workflows and automation to reduce the time from finished design to produced sign.
When processing printed signs and display materials, precise positioning is crucial. Camera support, live preview, Job Outline and smart positioning help make it easier to place cutting lines and engravings precisely in relation to the print. This reduces the risk of production errors and material waste – especially valuable when processing more expensive materials and finished printed products.
Sign production often consists of many short jobs with different materials, formats and customer-specific designs. Speedy Black Line is developed for fast switching between these. Multiple users can prepare jobs at the same time, while clear queue management, Quick Change Table, efficient extraction and short setup times help keep the machine productive instead of waiting.
Client and agency files often need to be checked, corrected or adjusted before they can be produced. Ruby® brings together file import, job preparation, positioning and production into a seamless workflow. This reduces the need for manual file management and the number of steps between design, printing and laser processing.
With material profiles, defined laser parameters and reusable workflows, it becomes easier to standardize production. Recurring sign jobs can be produced with the same settings and results, even when different operators use the machine. This creates greater process reliability when the production contains many materials and applications or when deadlines are short.
Speedy Black Line is not just about how fast the laser cuts or engraves. The entire production flow – from job preparation and positioning to processing, monitoring and machine uptime – is designed to work together. The result is fewer manual steps, less waiting time and material waste, and the ability to handle more jobs in the same production time.
